El dolor que supone cada mes enfrentarse a esta situación, transitar estas vivencias. He conectado con el automaternaje, con el cuidado hacia mí, quererme a mí misma, acogerme a mí. La maternidad es eso también en cierta manera: el cuidar, el acoger, el amar, el alimentar, el sostener… desde el cobijo primero que se crea. Todas estas palabras las asocio a la maternidad, aunque seguramente sea algo mucho más complejo que todo eso. Para mí la maternidad es un servicio, donde doy mi tiempo, mi cuerpo, mi dinero, mi espacio, mi juventud y mi creatividad, al servicio del crecimiento y desarrollo de otro ser humano que, en general, tiene mi mismo origen genético y biológico. Es también una gran oportunidad de crecimiento y descubrimiento de nuestra capacidad de amar. ¿Se puede maternar sin haber parido? Bajo esta óptica sí. La función materna va más allá de una madre abrazando a su bebé. Maternar es una de las funciones que poseen especialmente las mujeres, pero también los hombres. Tiene que ver con el cuidar, con el hacerte sentir seguro y querido. Que tienes un valor porque, en el momento en el que te hago sentir que eres un bien para mí, tú sientes tu valor propio. Esto se traspasa a todo ser humano. When did you become a mother? 
In February 2018, I was 28 years old and lived in Berlin. Did you want to get pregnant? What was your motivation?
 I think I did not exactly know if I wanted to become a mother or not, I somehow wanted it to happen without me having to make a decision. It felt too much of a responsibility to make that decision. I would like to think more like my son wanted to become my son, so he came to me.
