Xenia and Edward by Emma Hartvig
Emma Hartvig works with photography as a space of psychological and narrative tension. Her images are built through staged, closely choreographed encounters in which women collaborate to shape scenes of interiority, rest, and withdrawal. Viewed through a performative lens, these scenes draw on mythic structures while remaining grounded in lived presence, negotiating the tension between public visibility and private interior life.
This is an ongoing series about Xenia and her son Edward.
